Your Appointment

Your referral journey

  • Your referral will be sent to our Central Referral Centre where it will be processed
  • Your referral will then be screened by a physiotherapist, based on the information contained within the referral.  It will then be placed on a waiting list as appropriate.
  • A letter will be sent when we are able to offer you an appointment, you will need to respond to this and opt-in.  You may also be contacted by telephone to organise an appointment.
  • An initial consultation will be offered by telephone or Near Me video consultation, and where appropriate face to face will be arranged.
  • If you require Foreign language interpretation, please advise us when booking your appointment where appropriate translation will be organised.
  • If you require assistance in the form of British Sign Language, you can contact the service by email on gram.mskreferralcentre@nhs.scot . You can also use contactscotland-bsl.org  (Scotland's national BSL interpreting video relay service) to make an appointment or contact the MSK service.
